The next call for proposals is currently open until 30 September 2023. Submit your own proposals for free beam time and spread the word! Hopefully we can repeat our achievement of May, where we had a record-breaking call for proposals with no less than 60 radiation effects proposals submitted! Fun fact: after almost 2 years of beam provision, we have already accepted more than 100 EU-funded irradiation experiments in our facility network, with almost 2000h of beam time provided so far. |

Join us at RADECS 2023 in Toulouse |
|
From 25-29 September 2023, RADNEXT will be present at the RADECS Conference in Toulouse. Make sure to pass by booth #27 and engage with us! We will also hold a RADNEXT@RADECS2023 meeting in Toulouse on Tuesday 26 September from 6 to 7 PM at the “Foyer Ariane” room (1st floor of the Pierre Baudis congress center). Gathering there will be an ideal opportunity to share an update on the RADNEXT activities since the 2nd annual meeting in Seville and raise a glass to the successful achievements of the project in a casual atmosphere. The meeting will be followed by the industrial exhibit reception where we also invite you to reunite at the RADNEXT booth for a group picture. We look forward to meeting you in Toulouse! |

Time is flying by, and our highly anticipated G-RADNEXT Workshop is just around the corner! Don't miss out on the opportunity to be a part of this enriching event dedicated to industry advancements in radiation hardness testing of semiconductor devices and systems. G-RADNEXT Workshop will take place on-site at CERN on 8 and 9 November 2023. This is your chance to join hands with leading experts, professionals, and stakeholders from both academia and industry. The workshop aims to foster insightful discussions and collaborations within the framework of the RADNEXT Initiative. Secure your spot now by registering through indico.cern.ch/e/gradnext-2023. We can't wait to see you! |

RADNEXT research in the spotlight |
|
Check out the recent publication on the "use of high-energy x-ray generators for TID testing of electronic devices", by Vincent Girones and co-authors, where they have provided a first demonstration of the use of a filtered high-energy X-Ray generator for TID testing. In this publication, a high-energy X-ray generator is studied in order to perform dose tests on electronic components. The main idea is to reduce the photoelectric effect in order to get closer to the Compton scattering. For this, the spectrum of the X-ray generator is filtered in order to cut out the low-energy photons. Experimental results and simulations show that it is possible to filter the spectrum. From this result, the filtered X-ray generator is used to study the dose response of the electronic components, and the obtained data are compared to the cobalt 60 (60-Co) irradiation. This work was developed within Work Package 7 on Cumulative Radiation Effects, as part of the RADNEXT Joint Research Activities. |

Annual Meeting 2023 |
The 2nd RADNEXT annual meeting, which was hosted at the Centro Nacional de Aceleradores (CNA) in Seville on 9-10 May, was a big succes. No less than 53 participants from the 31 beneficiaries and associated partners gathered to discuss the RADNEXT scientific and technical achievements, as well as the plans for the coming years of the project. |

NSREC 2023 |
RADNEXT booth season was in full force again this summer. Early July, we were present for the first time at the EUCASS-CEAS conference in Lausanne, where our booth became a vibrant hub of discussions and interactions. From 24-28 July, the RADNEXT booth traveled overseas to the prestigious NSREC conference in Kansas City. Many ideas were exchanged, a lot of (new) connections were made, useful insights were shared and new opportunities were explored. Thank you all for your support and enthusiasm and also a big thanks to our dedicated RADNEXT booth team! |
