Join us - 7th Workshop on Medical Applications of Spectroscopic X-ray detectors |
Discover how technological advances for high-energy physics have become essential tools for clinical imaging through the summary of the SpecXray workshop. Within clinical radiology spectral x-ray imaging has now entered routine clinical practice. This improvement in patient care has arisen from the development of photon counting. This method of measuring individual x-ray photons has enabled higher spatial resolution, lower x-ray dose, and multi-energy imaging. The 7th Workshop on Medical Applications of Spectroscopic X-ray detectors is held every 2 years and unites researchers from hospitals, industry, academia and research organizations. The presentation will summarize key results, themes, and messages from the workshop and is intended for interested individuals in science, medicine or the general public. |

Join us – Discover next generation tools against cancer |
Meet the HTRIplus industry relations team at 62nd Annual PTCOG (Particle Therapy Cooperative Group) Conference in Singapore. HITRIplus, a Horizon 2020 project to which CERN participates, will be present at booth #33 to present the project's cutting-edge technologies for cancer treatments with ions. Cheaper and more compact than current alternatives, the project’s new generation of instruments could grant European companies an edge to address the potentially growing global ion therapy market. Whether you are interested in being a supplier, co-developing or simply curious, this is your chance to forge closer links with the community behind the cutting-edge developments in HITRIplus and discuss the technologies’ path to industrialisation. |
